Aggressive behaviors are frightening and stressful. Caregivers are always on edge. Not knowing the cause is frustrating and leads to constant worry. There can be many forms of aggressive behavior including maternal, play, fear, pain, territorial, protective, interspecies, redirected, food-related, possessive, predatory, dominance, and idiopathic. I will work with you to determine the underlying cause of the aggressive behavior. Once the cause is determined, an individualized plan can be created to help decrease and avoid the aggressive behaviors. Instead of constantly worrying that the animals will erupt for no reason, you can learn the triggers and how to improve the situation. We will also honestly discuss the dangers of aggression and discuss if rehoming is a more appropriate alternative for your situation.
